I started attending the Arabic class approximately 7 months ago, and before that, people told me that Arabic was difficult to understand. I always wanted to learn Arabic in order to understand what was being read of the Qur’an, and one day after completing my Maghrib salaah, I casually sat in one of the classes and enjoyed the way in which the class was conducted. I then decided to join that class. Our Ustaad, Sheikh Anwar Adamson, is a graduate from the University in Madina, and he has a very good grasp and understanding of the language. The classes are always fun and his interactive approach to teaching the language makes grasping the various concepts easy. The book used for the class also assists me in understanding because it introduces and addresses one concept at a time. It also takes us through revision, reading, examples and exercises which assist us in understanding the lesson being taught. I think the combination of teaching and books has assisted me greatly in understanding the various concepts which I’ve learn to-date. I am very excited to continue attending the classes and would urge anyone who is interested to do the same. Shukran Suroor Jakoet
