Muhammad Adonis

The first time i was introduced to Arabic letters and Alphabet was when i was 20 years old and that was the time i embraced Islam wa lillaahil hamd. When i looked at the pages and saw those strange signs and characters looking back at me I wondered if i would ever be able to decipher any of them. After that i remember i had a lunch with a family so there i saw a small girl who’s perhaps 3 times younger than me reciting fluently the alphabet and words, this was something that amazed me so at that time i decided if she can do it then i can also do it.

Ever since that day I found a desire to learn, understand and speak the Arabic language however the problem i experienced was that I have tried methods but most of these methods which have been used made it seem that this language is confusing and difficult but the reality is that generallyn speaking Arabic is probably one of the easiest languages to learn.

After having tried these various methods i moved on started doing my “ghifts”.So my teacher started teaching us the Arabic language from this profound book entitled “The Arabic Course” which is also originally devised and taught at the renowned Madinah Islamic University.

When we started with this book then with certainty and no doubt i found this book amongst many other books and courses, methods and teachings the ideal and most easy, concise and thus the best way for anyone who desire to learn the Arabic language and with this book u reap its fruit from the very first lesson where you will find it easy to construct simple Arabic sentences in speech and in writing. For me being a new Muslim, who was totally deprived of the Arabic language and only being introduced to it at this stage of my life and for the benefits I’ve gained from just tasting the Arabic language through the concise teaching of this book and its -easy-to-understand structure and method makes it the ideal course also in terms of the time it takes to learn.

Doing this course have also aided me much in my intellectual and spiritual journey as I am able to understand from what i read in the Quran and also translate from the verses of it. I could hardly remember that I was the same person who was not so sure if i could ever learn the Arabic letters.

I am very grateful also to my teacher Sheikh Anwar Adamson who take his precious time to teach us which with it through his unique way of teaching leaving us always excited and impatience for our next lesson. I am also honoured and thankful to him for guiding us throughout this course and making it easy for us to learn the Arabic language. May Allah grant him long life and good health to serve His deen, from His bountiful blessings all good deeds come into existence.
